| Having been
to the Manchester Christmas Model
Railway Exhibition, I headed to
Piccadilly and a train back to
Stalybridge. a Leeds train was
about to go and the gate man
informed me that it was .stopping
at Stalybridge. Got
sat down and underway when the
conductor announced first stop,
'HUDDERSFIELD!!!!!!! I had been
looking forward to a pint of real
ale in the legendary Stalybridge
Buffet Bar.
Thirty five
minutes later and I am in the
midst of Huddersfieldown Town and
Lincoln City match fans, on a wet
and windy platform in a station
undergoing some serious building
works! I never did get to the
Real Ale Bar!
