Since Covid,
I have kept away from exhibitions until
September, 2022. I thought a review page
would be useful for potential 2025
visitors.. At no point am I looking to
insult hard pressed exhibition managers
and their armies of volunteer helpers.
Having been an exhibition manager, I know
how hard work goes on in the preparation
and in the background at these events.

so links included are from You Tube and
may vary in length and quality!) |

A
wonderful exhibition with so much
variety in scales and subject
matter. Well supported with
traders both large and small
enterprises. All the clubs
stewards were very friendly,
approachable and well briefed.
Refreshments were well priced and
there was plenty of space for
visitors to sit down. The layout
was spacious allowed for easy
movement. |

Brilliantly
organised exhibition from the
shuttle bus services right
through to the quality and
variety of all the traders and
exhibitors. Extremely attentive
and helpful Hampton Court MRC
member stewards! Simple
refreshments run by the club were
well-priced although I can not
comment on the leisure centre's
in-house coffee shop. Excellent
day out had by all. |

Sorry,
but this is not an unbiased
review as I used to be a club
member ten years ago. Great deal
of variety in the layouts
exhibited, including lego trains
and road vehicle displays.
Everybody was very helpful and
friendly as usual. The catering
is simple with bacon and other
hot rolls at very good prices.
Most exhibtors and traders are
from within 50 miles radius! |

Sadly,
gone are the heady days of
presenting the East Anglian Show,
but St. Neots MRC have
re-invented their own local show.
Very well attended, friendly and
well priced refreshments.
Excellent layouts and a good
variety of traders in a
relatively small hall in the town
centre. My only peeve, is why in
a small area do visitors insist
on wearing rucksacks on their
backs? |

Such
a friendly exhibition for a long
time! It seems all club members
were wanting to give help and
support with a smile and club
badges and polo shirts! Great
layouts and interesting traders.
There was a cafe run by club
volunteers for tea and cakes at
very affordable prices. There was
also an outside burger bar
caterer possitioned out in a
courtyard. |

It
could have been a great
exhibition but was marred by the
desire to overfill the exhibition
floors with too many stands. This
meant that it was not easy to
move around, walking lanes were
narrow and crowded! Wemodellers
are not like regular affluent
racegoers who seem prepared to
pay extortionate prices for what
was clearly below average
catering! |

We
took our two grandsons, aged 4
and 9, along for the day and had
a brilliant time. Great exhibits,
access to the museum, tram and
train rides all included in the
price. The boys had other
distractions while we old fogeys
had a cup of tea and catering
prices were also reasonable! Some
excellent traders and layouts! |

A
comprehensive and enjoyable
exhibition day. Great variety of
layouts and trade/society stands.
My only criticism is that the
hall used at the County Grounds
had unreliable internet,
Consequently some traders had to
go 'cash only'. In fact, when I
had to pay for a new loco, the
trader had to escort customers
out the back and 200 metres down
a service road! |
